From simple two-layer FR4 to 56-layer backplanes, microvia HDI and high-power ceramic. Pick a technology to load it into the estimator, or jump straight to a firm quote.

Standard and high-Tg FR4 boards from 1 to 56 layers, with tight tolerances and controlled impedance for everything from consumer gadgets to industrial controllers.

1–56 layers FR4 / High-Tg 0.2–6.0 mm ½–6 oz Cu
What drives the priceLayer count, board area, copper weight and surface finish. HASL keeps it lean; ENIG and impedance control add cost.
Price a rigid board →

Single- to multi-layer polyimide flex with coverlay and stiffeners, plus hybrid rigid-flex stack-ups that fold rigid and flex zones into one board to kill connectors and shrink assemblies.

Polyimide Coverlay Rigid-flex 2–20L IPC-6013
What drives the pricePolyimide costs 2–3× FR4, so material is 40–60% of the bill. Flex-area ratio, layer count, stiffeners and bend requirements move the number most.
Price a flex / rigid-flex board →

High-density interconnect with laser microvias, stacked and staggered vias, and any-layer builds (1+N+1, 2+N+2) for dense, fine-pitch BGA designs in phones, radar and medical devices.

Laser µvia Any-layer 3/3 mil trace Stacked vias
What drives the priceSequential lamination and laser drilling per via layer. More HDI build-up steps, finer lines and low-loss material raise cost — but cut total layers.

Alumina (Al₂O₃) and aluminum-nitride (AlN) substrates built by thick-film, DPC or DBC for high-power, high-thermal LED engines, RF front-ends and power modules running −55 °C to +250 °C.

Al₂O₃ / AlN DPC · DBC Thick film 170–190 W/m·K
What drives the priceSubstrate (alumina is the budget baseline, AlN is premium), via and copper structure, plus tooling — DPC is near rigid-PCB setup, DBC and AMB cost more.

From files to firm quote

Four steps, one working day

The estimator gives you a number now. Here's how a ballpark turns into a firm, itemized fabrication quote.

STEP 01

Send your files

Submit specs through the estimator or upload Gerbers. An NDA is signed first on request, before files change hands.

STEP 02

Free DFM review

Engineers check manufacturability and flag cost drivers or issues — at no charge, before you commit a cent.

STEP 03

Quote in 24 hours

You get a clear, itemized fabrication quote — usually within a day of files landing, longer only for complex builds.

STEP 04

Approve & build

Confirm the order and the 5,000 ㎡ line fabricates and ships worldwide, with full traceability and on-time delivery.

Read the estimate right

What moves your PCB price

Every fab prices differently, but the same six levers dominate every quote. Tune them in the estimator to see the trade-offs before you commit a design.

Layer count

Each added layer means more lamination, drilling and material. Routing two extra layers out of a design can quietly cut a third off the price.

Board area & quantity

Bigger boards eat more panel; larger runs spread setup and tooling (NRE) over more units. Prototype-of-five always costs more per board.

Material & finish

FR4, Rogers, polyimide and ceramic sit at very different price points. HASL is cheapest; ENIG, hard gold and immersion silver carry a premium.

Via technology

Through-hole is standard. Blind, buried and laser microvias add drilling, plating and sequential lamination — the heart of HDI cost.

Trace, space & tolerance

Fine 3/3 mil lines, tight impedance and small drills demand precision gear and lower yields. Loosen what the design doesn't truly need.

Certification & lead time

IPC Class 3, automotive or medical testing add documentation. Rush builds carry an expedite premium over standard lead time.

PCB instant quote — FAQ

How accurate is the PCB instant quote?
The on-page estimator returns a ballpark figure to help you budget instantly. Your firm, itemized fabrication quote comes from PCBSync engineers after a free DFM review of your Gerbers, normally within 24 hours. For a deeper breakdown, jump to the full PCB Instant Quote desk.
Which PCB types can I price?
Rigid FR4, high-frequency Rogers/RF, flexible polyimide, rigid-flex, HDI with laser microvias, and ceramic (alumina and aluminum nitride) — from 1 to 56 layers, prototype through volume production.
What drives PCB price the most?
Layer count, board area, base material, surface finish, via technology (through-hole vs blind/buried/microvia) and order quantity are the biggest levers. Tighter trace/space, controlled impedance and special finishes add further cost.
How fast will I get the firm quote?
Most firm fabrication quotes come back within 24 hours of PCBSync receiving your Gerbers. Complex HDI, rigid-flex and ceramic designs may take a little longer because engineers review manufacturability before quoting.
What files are needed to quote a PCB?
Send Gerber files in RS-274X (preferred) plus an NC drill file and your stackup or layer count. Protel PCB/DDB and Eagle BRD are also accepted. Include quantity, material, finish and any special requirements, compressed into one .zip or .rar.
Is my PCB design kept confidential?
Yes. PCBSync signs your NDA on request before files change hands and treats every design as confidential — never reused, never resold.
